In short

The app has a free tier and a paid one, CB Pitboard Pro. Pro is a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase, made in the App Store or Google Play. There is no account.
The store handles your payment, refunds and taxes. Cancel a subscription in your store account.
The software is provided as is. It is not for real-world driving, and the data it shows can be wrong.

Who we are

CB Pitboard and CB Pitboard Bridge are published by Cedric Bapst, a self-employed sole proprietor, Impasse de la Perrausa 22, 1696 Vuisternens-en-Ogoz, Switzerland. Support: support@informatic-solution.ch, or the contact form.

What these terms cover

CB Pitboard: The app for Android tablets (Android 10 or later) and iPad (iPadOS 16 or later). It has a free tier and a paid tier, CB Pitboard Pro.
CB Pitboard Bridge: The SimHub plugin that sends your sim's data to the app. It is free to download; its source code is closed.
This website: cb-pitboard.ch, including the contact form. How it handles your data is described in the privacy policy.

By installing or using the app or the plugin, you accept these terms.

What you need

A PC with SimHub: The plugin runs inside SimHub. A SimHub licence is required for full update rates: without one, SimHub runs plugins at 10 Hz. SimHub is a separate product with its own terms; we do not sell it.
A supported sim: At launch: iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2. The list may change.
A local network: The PC and the tablet must be on the same local network.

Free tier and CB Pitboard Pro

The free tier is free of charge. CB Pitboard Pro unlocks more features, with no account. It is sold as an in-app purchase, in one of two forms that give the same features:

Monthly subscription: 0.90 CHF per month, or the local equivalent shown by your store. Prices in other currencies are set by the store.
Lifetime purchase: 9 CHF, paid once. It does not expire, unless it is refunded.

As of this date, Pro includes:

the strength of field (SOF) on iRacing online sessions;
the "To add" fuel line;
the full-grid panel (panel 2), including the iRating and licence column;
the pit panel;
the four extra themes;
the launcher mode (Android only).

Features may evolve. We may add features to either tier, and change what each tier contains for future purchases. If a feature that is free today becomes part of Pro, using it then requires the Pro subscription or the lifetime purchase. Some features depend on what the sim provides: for instance, the SOF exists on iRacing online only.

Payment, renewal and cancellation

Who sells: Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their own terms. Billing, payment methods, refunds and taxes are handled by them. The price shown by the store at the time of purchase prevails. We receive no card or bank details.
Automatic renewal: The monthly subscription renews automatically each month, at the price shown by the store, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancelling: Manage or cancel the subscription in your store account settings (App Store or Google Play subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel it. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Failed payment: If a renewal payment fails, the store may retry it during a billing grace period. We use the shortest grace period each store offers, and Pro stays active during it.
When Pro ends: When a subscription expires, the app returns to the free tier. Your settings are kept; Pro features simply become unavailable.
Refunds: Refund requests are made to Apple or Google, which decide on them under their own policies. We cannot refund a store purchase ourselves.
Restoring a purchase: Use "Restore purchases" in the app to get Pro back on a new tablet or after a reinstall, with the same store account.
Verifying your purchase: The app checks your purchase status through RevenueCat, a US service provider, which receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history for that purpose. See the privacy policy.

Using the software

CB Pitboard and CB Pitboard Bridge are licensed to you for your own personal use, on your own devices. Do not copy, resell or redistribute them, and do not try to bypass the Pro purchase check or to extract the plugin’s closed source code, except where mandatory law allows it.

No affiliation

CB Pitboard is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SimHub, iRacing, Motorsport Games or Le Mans Ultimate, Reiza Studios or Automobilista 2, Apple, or Google. All trademarks and product names belong to their owners and are used only to state compatibility.

Accuracy and liability

As is: The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that it will run without interruption or errors, or work with every version of a sim, SimHub or tablet.
Data may be wrong: The data shown comes from the sim, through SimHub and the plugin. It can be late, incomplete or inaccurate, and some values are estimates. Do not rely on it for any decision that matters.
Not for real driving: CB Pitboard is made for simulated racing. Never use it while driving a real vehicle.
Liability: To the extent permitted by Swiss law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from the use of the software. Liability for intent or gross negligence, and any liability that cannot be excluded by law, remain.

Governing law

Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The place of jurisdiction is the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, and any right to bring a claim before the courts there, remain unaffected.

Changes

We may change these terms, for instance when features or prices change. The new version is published on this page with its date at the top. For a subscription, a change that affects you takes effect at your next renewal, and you can cancel before it.
