Privacy policy
Draft for discussion, last updated 1 October 2026. Published at cb-pitboard.ch/privacy. The legal obligations for a Swiss site with European visitors (revFADP, GDPR) are still to be checked.
In short
- The app collects nothing about you. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting.
- Your race data stays on your network. The plugin sends telemetry from your PC to your tablet over your local Wi-Fi, never to the internet.
- We only receive what you send us through the contact form.
Who is responsible
Cedric Bapst, Impasse de la Perrausa 22, 1696 Vuisternens-en-Ogoz, Switzerland, publisher of CB Pitboard and CB Pitboard Bridge. Contact for privacy requests: support@informatic-solution.ch, or the contact form.
The app (Android and iPad)
- Stored on the tablet
- Your settings: driver name, car number, nationality, theme, units, display and tyre colour preferences. They never leave the tablet and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Network
- The app only talks to the plugin on your local network (UDP ports 20777 and 20778). It does not contact any server of ours.
- Purchases
- Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play. The store handles the payment; we receive no card or bank details, and Pro needs no account with us. Where purchases are available in the app, it checks your purchase status through RevenueCat Inc., a service provider in the United States that acts as our processor under its data processing agreement; transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID generated by the app, your purchase history from the store, and the device and app information needed for the check (device model, operating system version, app version, country or storefront). It receives no name and no email address. We use it only to verify whether Pro is active, and it keeps the data according to its own terms and our account settings with it. See the terms of use. Team, which will need an account, will be described here before it launches.
The SimHub plugin
- On your PC
- The plugin keeps files in SimHub's data folder: track outlines, pit-lane positions, pit-loss and refuel measurements, and, only if you turn on "Record sessions", recordings of your sessions. They stay on your PC.
- Update check
- When SimHub starts, the plugin asks cb-pitboard.ch whether a newer version exists, and downloads it from there if you accept. Like any web request, it reveals your IP address to the server; it sends nothing else. This is one request to cb-pitboard.ch/plugin/latest.json at SimHub start; you can turn it off in the plugin settings.
This website
- Contact form
- What you type: your email address, the type of message (bug report, feature request or general contact), the game, the tablet and the app build number (these three only for a bug report or a feature request) and your message. It is stored on the server of this website (hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland), given a reference number (CBP-0001, CBP-0002…), and sent by email to our support mailbox. On the website's server, we keep it for 12 months after we close the ticket, then it is deleted automatically; a ticket we have not closed is kept until we do. Our replies to you, and any files we attach to them, are kept with the ticket on the website's server and deleted with it, at the same time. This applies to the copy stored on the website only, not to the email in our support mailbox. We use it only to answer you and to fix or improve the app. How long messages are kept in the mailbox: to be decided.
- Anti-spam (Cloudflare Turnstile)
- The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. When you scroll near the form or click into it, your browser loads a script from Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and signals from your browser to tell people from bots. Nothing is loaded from Cloudflare elsewhere on the site. Cloudflare's own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Cloudflare's role and data handling: to be checked.
- Hosting
- The site is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland. Their servers keep standard access logs (IP address, date, page requested). Data location and log retention: to be checked with Infomaniak.
- Cookies and analytics
- We set no cookies of our own and use no analytics. If audience measurement is ever added, it will be listed here first. Whether Cloudflare Turnstile sets technical cookies or stores data in your browser: to be checked.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, at any time, at support@informatic-solution.ch or through the contact form. As the app and plugin keep your data on your own devices, deleting them removes it.
Changes
We will update this page when the app or the site changes what it handles, and change the date at the top.
